Bacon Wrapped Chicken Wings

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds chicken wings defrosted
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup sugar free bbq sauce
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions
 

  • First preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Next using a large mixing bowl add in the chicken wings, olive oil, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to combine and coat the wings well.
  • Then grab a small mixing bowl to combine the sugar free BBQ sauce, minced garlic, and soy sauce. Mix well to combine and set aside for later.
  • Now cut the bacon slices in half. You will want to wrap one half of a slice of bacon around each of the seasoned chicken wings, and place onto a baking sheet lined with foil.
  • Bake the wings for 15 to 20 minutes on one side, then remove from the oven, flip, and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes on the other side.
  • Now to make the wings crispy remove the cooked wings from the oven, and change the oven temperature to broil.
  • Using a rack place the chicken wings on a baking sheet to allow the drippings to drip below.
  • Brush a thick layer of the barbecue sauce mixture onto each chicken wing.
  • Return the wings to the oven, and broil for 1-2 minutes allowing the sauce to caramelize on the wings.
