Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a medium mixing bowl combine the softened cream cheese, drained cans of chopped green chiles, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Using a mixer mix the mixture until it is well combined.
Place four chicken breasts in a greased casserole dish.
Layer the cream cheese and green chile mixture on top of the chicken.
Next add the monterey jack cheese on top of the chicken and cream cheese mixture.
Cover with foil and bake in the oven at 375 degrees Farnheit for at least one hour or until the chicken is cooked through.
